DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT and AGREEMENT FOR AUTHOR

When you accept our request to act as a corresponding author to submit a research paper in the review process, we will collect personal data about you and others authors. Please take the time to read this Privacy Statement and Agreement before placing your personal data in this NPS Australia Academic Research Paper Review System web interface. We request that you consent to the terms of this Privacy Statement before you provide any personal data to NPS Australia Academic Research Paper Review System admin authority.

  1. NPS Australia Academic Research Paper Review System is the research paper review platform. It is responsible for ensuring that the personal data collected through the platform is protected and processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement and applicable data protection and privacy laws.
  2. When you set up a profile so that you can receive paper details to review, we will ask for personal data that identifies you (including your name, contact information, academic degree, next to kin and institutional details). You can also choose to provide personal data relating to your achievements, languages spoken and gift package purpose. It will also help us to plan to place a domain expert reviewer to publish quality research papers in our conference/journal proceedings.
  3. We will also share your personal data with a reviewer who may require additional clarification and your comments/views in the paper review process.  Surveys will be conducted by NPS Australia, our organisational service provider.
  4. As the NPS Australia Academic Research Paper Review System operates globally, from time to time we need to disclose personal data across publication sponsors IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and iLaB Australia. Where we do so, we take steps intended to ensure that such disclosures are adequately protected and comply with applicable laws.
  5. When you use NPS Australia Academic Research Paper Review System platform, we collect your IP address and information about your operating system and browser type. We also collect information about traffic on the platform and other communication data. We do this for system administration and statistical purposes (including so that we can continue to improve the platform by knowing which parts of the platform are of most interest to visitors). We also use cookies on the platform, again to help us to understand the use of the platform by analysing your data through data science platforms such as AWS.
  6. You are giving us permission to place your submitted paper/s to our reviewers to seek expert views. Also, you agreed that this paper is completely plagiarism free and it has not been submitted to any other conference/journal for publications. You also agreed that if the paper gets acceptance by the conference/journal publication chair then you will not have the right to withdraw the paper. For any conference publication, the assigned registration fee by the conference team is mandatory before you accept the published version of the paper. In an unexpected situation, you are allowing us to contact your next to kin if communication breakdown between us.

CONFIRMATION AND CONSENT

I confirm that the statements made by me in my profile are true and complete. I understand and agree that a false statement may disqualify me to place my paper in the review process, may result in disciplinary action.

I have read and understood this Privacy Statement and consent to the processing of my personal data in accordance with this Privacy Statement. I consent to the processing of my personal data for the purposes described in this Statement, the disclosure of my personal data within the NPS Australia community and its external service providers.
